RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi, in partnership with the Potohari Adabi Sangat Kallar Syedan, hosted a book launch for “Boltey Katbey” by the esteemed poet, writer, and broadcaster Abdul Rehman Kashif. The event drew a significant audience of writers, poets, and literary enthusiasts.
Eminent literary figure Qayyum Tahir presided over the ceremony, with noted poet and critic Dr. Fozia Saher as the chief guest. Nusratyab Nusrat attended as the guest of honor.
Speakers such as Prof. Jamal Zaidi, Abid Hussain Janjua, Naeem Akram Qureshi, Zeenat Abbasi, and Director of the Arts Council Sajjad Hussain spoke about the literary contributions and life of Kashif. They underscored his distinctive style and thematic depth in contemporary Urdu literature.
The event was elegantly anchored by Khair un Nisa Khairi. Participants recognized “Boltey Katbey” as a significant addition to Urdu literature, reflecting Kashif’s unique literary voice.
