England Announces Squads for Australia Tour, Featuring Return of Archer and Bethell

London: England has announced its squads for the upcoming tour of Australia, with Harry Brook set to captain both the One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) teams. The tour will include three ODIs and five T20Is. Jacob Bethell and Jofra Archer return to the squad, providing a boost to the team's lineup.

According to International Cricket Council, Bethell makes his comeback to the ODI squad after recovering from a knee injury sustained during England's series against India in July. Archer, who was rested for the recent tri-series in Pakistan, also rejoins the team. Both players are part of the changes in the squad for the ODIs in Australia. The ODI squad includes notable players such as Joe Root and Adil Rashid, while the T20I squad features newcomers Thomas Rew and Eddie Jack, with Rew being the youngest member at 18 years old.

The ODI series will commence on November 13 in Perth, followed by matches in Adelaide and Hobart. After the ODI series, fast bowlers Gus Atkinson, Sonny Baker, and Josh Tongue will return to manage workloads ahead of the ICC World Test Championship series against South Africa. The T20I series starts on November 21 in Melbourne, concluding on December 2 in Canberra. Key absences due to injury include Jos Buttler and Saqib Mahmood.
