President Zardari Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthen China-Pakistan Partnership

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to further deepen its strategic partnership with China, describing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a vivid symbol of the two countries' traditional friendship and All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, in his letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping on China's National Day, the President stated that CPEC, in its second phase of high-quality development, presents new opportunities for Pakistan and China in areas including Artificial Intelligence, renewable energy, and green mining.

President Zardari acknowledged China's development over the past 77 years, noting its significant economic and social impacts both domestically and globally. He highlighted China's achievements in poverty alleviation, focus on inclusive growth, and its growing role in international affairs.

The President mentioned that this year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan. He emphasized the enduring nature of their "iron-clad friendship," underscored by strategic mutual trust and consistent support on core issues.

President Zardari reiterated Pakistan's commitment to its relationship with China, expressing a desire to work closely with President Xi to advance their unique friendship, enhance practical cooperation, and foster a closer China-Pakistan Community with a Shared Future.

He expressed confidence in the continued growth of the friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and China, contributing to the prosperity of both nations, regional peace, and the promotion of a peaceful, equitable, and cooperative international order.
