Sargodha: The Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Sargodha observed World Pharmacists Day with a series of events that stressed the essential role of pharmacists in healthcare and the challenges the profession faces. The events included discussions on the importance of safe medication use and the integration of artificial intelligence in health technologies.

According to University of Sargodha, the event featured Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan as the chief guest. He emphasized the critical role pharmacists play in ensuring the safe and appropriate use of medicines and addressed issues related to the misuse of medications. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Usman Minhas, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy, encouraged students to gain proficiency in AI-based health technologies to meet the sector's emerging needs.

The day’s activities included a cake-cutting ceremony and an awareness walk under the theme "Empowering Pharmacists for a Healthier Future," set by the International Pharmaceutical Federation. A seminar was also held at the College of Pharmacy auditorium for final-semester students. Alumni from various healthcare sectors shared insights on career opportunities and challenges in the professional market.
