Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has conveyed his congratulations to the leadership and citizens of Saudi Arabia on their 96th National Day, emphasizing the significance of recently signed defense agreements between the two nations. According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari, in his communications with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, highlighted the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement and the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement as key developments reinforcing the robust Pakistan-Saudi partnership.

The President noted that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a history of collaboration rooted in faith, history, and solidarity. He stated that the two nations value their relationship, which is strengthened by cooperation at multiple levels, including bilateral, regional, and international platforms. The recent defense agreements are seen as pivotal in enhancing peace and security in the region.

President Zardari expressed optimism about the continued growth of relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, anticipating further expansion in areas of shared interest. Additionally, he extended an invitation to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit Pakistan, expressing a desire to strengthen bilateral ties.
