Displaying impressive skill and composure, Sri Lanka chased down Pakistan's modest total with eight balls to spare, thanks to disciplined bowling and a crucial partnership in the middle order.

According to International Cricket Council, Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu won the toss and opted to field first, a decision that paid off as Sugandika Kumari provided an early breakthrough in the second over. Despite a promising start by Pakistan's Shawal Zulfiqar and Gull Feroza, Athapaththu's critical interventions disrupted their momentum, dismissing key batters and keeping Pakistan under pressure. Pakistan captain Fatima Sana's unbeaten 47 pushed the team to a respectable 130/5 at the end of their 20 overs.

In response, Sri Lanka faced early setbacks, losing Athapaththu and Sanjana Kavindi in quick succession to Sana's bowling. However, a resilient 67-run partnership between Harshitha Samarawickrama and Kavisha Dilhari stabilized the innings and redirected the chase. Although Sana struck again to remove the duo, Nilakshi de Silva and Kaushani Nuthyanaga held firm, guiding Sri Lanka to victory.

Sri Lanka, the defending champions, will aim to retain their title in the final against India at the Dubai International Stadium. Athapaththu expressed confidence in her team's ability to execute their plans and overcome any opponent in the upcoming match.
