Lahore: A farewell ceremony was held at the University of Central Punjab to honor Prof. Dr. Fehmida Sultana as she retires after a tenure that began in 1994. The event marked a career distinguished by dedication and leadership over more than three decades at the institution.
According to University of Central Punjab, the occasion was attended by prominent figures including Mian Amer Mahmood, Chairman of the Punjab Group. He was welcomed by Pro-Rector Dr. Hammad Naveed, Provost Muhammad Yaqoob, and Director Administration Amjad Niaz. Prof. Sohail Afzal, Executive Director of the Punjab Group, also accompanied him. The ceremony saw participation from the Registrar and all Deans and Directors of the University.
During her career, Prof. Dr. Sultana served as Pro-Rector from 2006 to 2010 and was recognized as the first Professor Emerita of the University. Her contributions to academia and the institution were acknowledged, and she was thanked for her service, mentorship, and leadership, with well-wishes for her future endeavors.
