UET Faisalabad Campus Enhances Female Facilities with New Gym and Common Room

Faisalabad: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore's Faisalabad Campus has inaugurated a new Girls' Gym and Common Room, aimed at enhancing the environment for female students. The facilities were officially opened by UET Lahore's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, who emphasized the importance of providing a safe and supportive space for female students to engage in academic as well as physical and social activities.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, the initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to student welfare and holistic development. Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir highlighted that such facilities are crucial for student personality building, aligning with modern educational standards. The new amenities are expected to offer female students opportunities for relaxation and social interaction, complementing their academic pursuits.

The project received partial support from alumni of the Faisalabad Campus, underscoring the role of alumni engagement in institutional development. Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir acknowledged their contributions, noting the positive impact of alumni involvement. The Vice Chancellor had previously inaugurated a gymnasium for male students, also supported by campus alumni, demonstrating a continued focus on enhancing student resources.

Campus Coordinator Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mohsin, along with faculty members, expressed gratitude for the Vice Chancellor’s support. They noted that the addition of modern facilities is poised to improve the academic and personal growth environment for students, contributing to their overall well-being.
