Bangladesh Announces Men’s Cricket Squad for Asian Games 2026

Dhaka: Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced its 15-member squad for the upcoming Asian Games 2026, with Litton Das named as captain. According to International Cricket Council, the tournament is set to commence on September 17, where Bangladesh will face off against top cricketing nations from Asia.

The squad sees the return of key players such as Litton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto, who were part of the team that competed against Zimbabwe in July. The Bangladesh team had previously secured a bronze medal at the last Asian Games, finishing behind Sri Lanka and India.

Bangladesh and other cricketing powers such as India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan have gained automatic entry to the tournament, along with host nation Japan. Teams from Nepal, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, and Oman have secured their places through the qualifying rounds.
