According to Dow University of Health Sciences, Professor Hossain made these remarks during a flag-hoisting ceremony at Dow International Medical College, part of the Independence Day celebrations. The event was attended by faculty members, students, and university officials, who displayed patriotic fervor during the ceremony. The national anthem was played following the flag-hoisting, and students showcased their enthusiasm for the country.

Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Sajida Qureshi highlighted that patriotism extends beyond symbolic gestures, underscoring the importance of diligence and integrity in one's professional duties.
