Peshawar: The Senate of The University of Haripur has approved a record budget of Rs. 2 billion, featuring a surplus of approximately Rs. 730 million, indicating progress in the university's financial management and institutional development.

According to The University of Haripur, the Senate meeting was held in Peshawar under the chairmanship of Pro-Chancellor Meena Khan Afridi. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abid Farid led the university delegation, along with Treasurer Muhammad Imran and Registrar Riaz Muhammad. During the meeting, the university presented its budget and financial status, emphasizing institutional growth and effective resource utilization. After thorough deliberations, the Senate approved the budget, with the Pro-Chancellor recognizing the university's management efforts in achieving a robust financial position.

The approval of this budget with a substantial surplus is significant as numerous public-sector universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are experiencing financial difficulties. In contrast, The University of Haripur has maintained financial stability and growth, demonstrating improved resource mobilization and responsible expenditure management.
