KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi General Secretary, Arsalan Khalid, has voiced strong criticism against recent discussions on creating new administrative units and provinces. Khalid asserted that those who admit to the failure of the country's existing system are the ones responsible for its downfall. He labeled a recent statement by the Federal Interior Minister as an overt acknowledgment of the current government's failure.

According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Khalid emphasized that without acknowledging the true constitutional and public mandate, altering administrative structures is futile. He urged that state institutions must operate within constitutional boundaries and that political matters should be handled by elected officials. Khalid condemned decisions regarding new provinces being made in secrecy or by unelected figures.

Khalid argued that resolving the crises affecting Karachi and the nation requires ending the "Form 47" government and holding free and fair elections. He condemned the talk of new provinces as a distraction from pressing issues like inflation and political instability. He further criticized the lack of rule of law and genuine democracy as key factors exacerbating the country's economic challenges.

The PTI Karachi leader called for an end to experimental governance, emphasizing that young people demand merit and employment opportunities, which he believes are unattainable under the current system. He pledged that PTI will persist in its efforts to uphold constitutional supremacy and public sovereignty.
