Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) to enhance international academic and research collaborations. This agreement aims to broaden the scope of joint research projects and exchange programs between the two institutions.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, the MoU was signed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir on behalf of UET Lahore, and by Vice-Rector for Internationalization Prof. F. Javier Román González for UAM. The partnership outlines a framework for cooperation in several areas, including joint research, faculty and student exchanges, dual-degree programs, and academic conferences.

Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir emphasized that the collaboration is a testament to UET Lahore's dedication to global academic engagement and excellence. He noted that the partnership is expected to open new avenues for research and innovation. The initial term of the MoU is four years, with an option for renewal upon mutual consent.

Dr. Komal Rizwan from the Department of Chemistry was instrumental in facilitating the agreement, underscoring her commitment to fostering academic growth and cooperation. Her involvement is anticipated to advance educational and research opportunities between the two universities.
