ISLAMABAD: The Virtual University of Pakistan has announced a series of academic facilitation measures to support its Spring 2026 students from Azad Jammu & Kashmir, aiming to prevent any disruption in their education due to the ongoing situation in the region.
According to Virtual University of Pakistan's press release, the institution is extending the duration of the current Spring 2026 semester for students in Azad Jammu & Kashmir. This decision has been made to ensure that students do not face any academic setbacks amid the prevailing circumstances. The university will adjust the academic schedule and release a revised calendar once normal business operations resume in the area.
The reliance on ICT and internet connectivity, which is currently compromised in the affected areas, prompted this decision. The Rector of the Virtual University emphasized the institution's commitment to prioritizing the academic welfare of its students, reaffirming that the university will continue to implement necessary measures to provide uninterrupted learning opportunities.
The Virtual University of Pakistan remains dedicated to offering accessible, quality, and technology-driven higher education to students nationwide, upholding its commitment to educational equity.
