Islamabad: The National University of Sciences and Technology’s School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (SMME), in collaboration with the Manufacturing Resource Centre (MRC), has initiated an 8-week skill development and technical vocational training programme. This initiative is designed to provide unskilled youth with theoretical knowledge and practical training in specialized technical trades, including Machining, Electrician, and Welding.
According to National University of Sciences and Technology, the technical vocational courses are conducted annually at SMME (MRC) as part of a Summer Camp. By 2025, a total of 648 students are expected to have successfully completed these hands-on training courses.
