Seminar Unites Community to Combat Drug Abuse and Trafficking

LAHORE: A seminar aimed at combating drug abuse and illicit trafficking brought together various community stakeholders as part of the observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The event, organized by the Volunteer in Service Department in collaboration with YOCFAN, focused on raising awareness and fostering dialogue among students, faculty members, and community representatives.

According to University of Central Punjab, the seminar featured Brigadier Sikandar Hayat Chaudhry, Commander of the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Punjab, as the Chief Guest. Brigadier Chaudhry addressed the attendees, discussing the pressing challenges posed by drug abuse and illicit trafficking. He emphasized the critical roles that education, youth engagement, and community participation play in effectively tackling these issues.

The gathering served as a platform for exchanging ideas and strategies to prevent drug abuse, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts in creating a safer and healthier society.
