Lahore: A ceremony was organized by a leading educational institution to honor the position holders of the first and second phases of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore ECAT 2026. The event was attended by UET Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir, Managing Director Salman Maqsood, CEO Abid Wazir Khan, Director Colleges Zahid Wazir Khan, Executive Director Colonel Asad, campus principals, position holders, their parents, teachers, and faculty members.
According to University of Engineering and Technology, the purpose of the ceremony was to recognize and encourage students who achieved outstanding results in ECAT 2026 by presenting them with shields, certificates, and prizes. Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir congratulated the successful students and said that hard work, dedication, and determination are the keys to success. He encouraged students to use their engineering education to contribute to the country's development, research, and innovation.
In the first phase of ECAT Fall 2026, Muhammad Sohaib secured first position with 396 marks. Muhammad Muaz Nasir and Muhammad Usman Zubair jointly secured second position with 392 marks, while Muhammad Zakariya Hassan, Daniyal Saeed, and Hamza Ahsan Iqbal jointly secured third position with 388 marks. In the second phase, Farheen Fatima Zaidi secured first position with 360 marks, Muhammad Hassan secured second position with 356 marks, while Muhammad Ibrahim, Wajeeha Aamir, and Umar Asim jointly secured third position with 352 marks.
During the ceremony, the outstanding students and their parents were congratulated for their achievements. The Vice Chancellor appreciated the institution's efforts to encourage talented students and said that such events promote healthy competition and academic excellence among young people. The ceremony concluded with a renewed commitment that UET Lahore will continue to uphold merit, transparency, and academic excellence while fulfilling its mission of producing highly qualified engineers for the country.
