Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Celebrates Launch of Poetry Collection “Rudaali”

Karachi: The Literary Committee (She'r-o-Sukhan) of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organized a launch event for the poetry collection "Rudaali" by Humaira Gul Tashna at the Haseena Moin Hall. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, a renowned poet and educationist, and featured speeches from distinguished guests including actor Munawar Saeed, Salman Sarwat, Wazahat Naseem, Nasira Zuberi, and Shakeel Khan, Administrative Director of the Arts Council.

According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, Dr. Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui highlighted the importance of nurturing literature and language in homes, noting that Humaira Gul Tashna's work is a testament to such an environment. He emphasized the significance of promoting literature for societal intellectual growth and praised the quality of "Rudaali" for its literary merit and production. Munawar Saeed commented on the cover of the collection, describing it as a reflection of the poet's personality, while Salman Sarwat commended Tashna for challenging gender norms through her work.

Wazahat Naseem described Tashna as a promising literary talent, noting the richness of her poetry in love and emotion. Nasira Zuberi praised the poet's connection to classical literary traditions and her creative use of language. Humaira Gul Tashna expressed gratitude to the Arts Council and its president, Muhammad Ahmed Shah, for hosting the event and acknowledged the inspiration drawn from senior literary figures. The ceremony concluded with Tashna reciting her poetry, which was warmly received by the audience.

Shakeel Khan remarked on the event's success, attributing it to the large turnout of literary enthusiasts, and reiterated the Arts Council's commitment to supporting literary and cultural activities.
