Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended felicitations to the Governor General of Canada, Ms. Louise Arbour, and the people of Canada on their National Day.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari emphasized the long-standing and friendly relations between Pakistan and Canada, which he described as being founded on mutual respect, shared interests, and strong people-to-people ties. He expressed confidence that the bilateral cooperation between the two countries will continue to expand in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, higher education, and collaboration in international forums.
