NUST SMME Welcomes Academic Delegation from Tongwon University, Republic of Korea

Islamabad: NUST School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (SMME) hosted an academic delegation from Tongwon University, Republic of Korea, under the Korean-Pakistan Educational Corridor (KPEC) program. The visit aimed to explore avenues for academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

According to National University of Sciences and Technology, the delegation, led by Professor Dr. Jongin Choi, President of Tongwon University, included members of his team, along with Dr. Khurram Iqbal, President of the Consortium for Asia Pacific and Eurasian Studies (CAPES), and his team. The delegates engaged in discussions on mutual academic and research interests, toured SMME's research laboratories, and met with Pro-Rector Academics, Dr. Osman Hassan, and Dr. Sahar from the NUST International Office.

Representatives from both institutions discussed potential collaborations in academic programs, joint research initiatives, student and faculty exchanges, and technology transfer. The visit represents a step forward in strengthening academic ties between Pakistan and the Republic of Korea, with both sides expressing interest in future collaborations to benefit their academic and research communities.
