Khairpur: Khairpur's voter registration rate has reached 54% of its estimated 2025 population, aligning with the national average, according to recently released data. The district, with an estimated population of 2,664,984 for 2025, has 1.4 million registered voters, based on district-wise electoral roll statistics from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and population estimates from the 2023 Digital Census.
According to Free and Fair Election Network, the figures, announced on December 30, 2025, reveal that Khairpur ranks 29th in population size among 136 districts and 54th nationally by voter registration rate. Within Sindh, Khairpur stands third out of 30 districts. The registration rate is calculated by dividing the number of registered voters by the population estimate, which factors in a 1.29% annual growth rate from the 2023 census.
The district's registered voters include 758,448 males, representing 52.6% of the electorate, and 684,145 females, making up 47.4%, resulting in a moderate gender gap of 5.2%. The voter registration rate among males is 56% of the estimated population, while for females, it stands at 52%. The balance between census enumeration effects and migration patterns ensures that Khairpur's voter-to-population ratio mirrors the national average, highlighting the need for targeted outreach to close the gender gap in voter registration ahead of upcoming elections.
