Turbat University Syndicate Focuses on Reforms and Transparency in Recent Meeting

Turbat: The Syndicate of the University of Turbat convened for its 16th meeting under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, aiming to enhance the University's academic, administrative, and financial frameworks. Key resolutions included commitments to merit-based processes and increased transparency, alongside discussions on governance and the alignment of research activities with international standards.

According to University of Turbat, the meeting involved active participation from Syndicate members who explored strategies for institutional development, governance improvements, and financial resource enhancement. The group also reviewed previous decisions and addressed ongoing issues affecting students and staff, proposing measures for effective resolution.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan highlighted the University's efforts to boost digital skills among students, underscoring the importance of adhering to merit and transparency in administrative actions. He affirmed that all decisions would align with the University Act, aiming to fortify governance and enrich teaching and research quality for the benefit of students.

Concerns were raised regarding the disappearance of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, and his colleagues, prompting an appeal for their safe release. The Syndicate also discussed the establishment of a testing service, financial audits and budgets, and various administrative matters, including a shift to Islamic banking and a partnership with 1Link for fee collection.

The meeting concluded with resolutions on naming a new academic block, developing content publication guidelines, and facilitating employee exchanges between the University of Balochistan and the University of Turbat.
