University of Turbat Concludes PREE Cycle for Undergraduate Programs Under HEC Framework


Turbat: The University of Turbat has completed the Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) cycle for Internal Quality Assurance of its undergraduate programs, aligning with the HEC PSG-2023 framework. This significant phase of evaluation concluded with site visits conducted on May 14, 2026, involving an extensive review of twelve undergraduate programs.



According to University of Turbat, the review process involved separate Review Panels that assessed various aspects of academic and administrative operations. These assessments included examining Self-Assessment Reports, program and course files, and evaluating quality assurance and monitoring systems. The panels inspected laboratory and library facilities and other academic support resources. Faculty members and students were also engaged to assess teaching practices, learning outcomes, and the overall academic environment.



Following the site visits, the Review Panels presented their findings and recommendations to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, and Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell, Dr. Riaz Ahmed. The recommendations emphasized improving student admissions and retention, enhancing academic monitoring and advising systems, refining documentation and record management, expanding academic opportunities in emerging disciplines, and upgrading laboratory, library, digital, and internet facilities.



The Vice Chancellor expressed appreciation for the feedback and reiterated the university’s commitment to implementing the recommendations to further enhance academic quality. Dr. Ahmed acknowledged the cooperation of all stakeholders, emphasizing that the successful completion of the PREE cycle during the 2025-26 academic year underscores the university’s dedication to reinforcing internal quality assurance systems and fostering continuous academic improvement.
