LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore, in cooperation with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), held a seminar focusing on the role of organic trace minerals in poultry production. The event, part of the HEC National Research Program for Universities project, was conducted at the Veterinary Academy of the City Campus, gathering researchers, faculty, and students to discuss advancements in poultry nutrition.
According to the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Rabbani presided over the seminar’s concluding session, distributing certificates to participants and recognizing resource persons with shields. The event featured lectures from various experts, including Prof. Dr. Muhammad Azfal Rashid and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz Yousaf, who explored the significance of trace minerals in poultry nutrition and the impact of organic trace minerals on poultry production performance.
Prof. Dr. Masood Rabbani commended the organizers for the seminar and encouraged students to acquire practical skills in their field, emphasizing hard work and public service. He highlighted future plans for UVAS’s Ravi Campus Pattoki to become an agro-livestock tourism hub, aiming to attract students from various educational institutions. Prof. Dr. Kamran Ashraf and Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Rabbani also praised the efforts of their colleagues in the development of UVAS.
