HARIPUR: The University of Haripur’s Departments of Public Health and Nutrition and Biology held a one-day workshop focused on integrating artificial intelligence into public health nutrition and biological research. The event aimed to familiarize students with AI tools for data analysis, predictive modeling, and evidence-based decision-making in the fields of public health and biology.
According to The University of Haripur, participants learned about AI applications in nutrition surveillance, disease prediction, and biological data interpretation. Dr. Abbas Khan from the Public Health and Nutrition Department and Dr. Umer Zeb from the Biology Department led the technical sessions, which provided students with insights into leveraging AI to enhance research productivity and address health challenges.
Prof. Dr. Aziz Ullah, Dean of the Faculty of Biological and Biomedical Sciences, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. He commended the departments for organizing the workshop and stressed the significance of AI in transforming healthcare and research. Dr. Aziz Ullah encouraged students to develop interdisciplinary skills to remain competitive on a global scale. He also presented certificates to participating students.
The workshop concluded with expressions of gratitude towards the chief guest, facilitators, and participants for their contributions to the event’s success.
