Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari is set to confer the Nishan-e-Pakistan, Pakistan’s highest civilian award, on the visiting Presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan during their official visits to Pakistan.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, the Nishan-e-Pakistan is awarded to individuals who have rendered services of highest distinction to the national interest of Pakistan. It has often been presented to visiting Heads of State, symbolizing respect and friendship and reflecting strong bilateral relations.
The investiture ceremonies will take place at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, where President Zardari will formally bestow the awards on the visiting dignitaries. Additionally, state banquets will be hosted in their honor, with attendees including members of the federal cabinet, parliament, and diplomatic corps, as well as other dignitaries.
