Islamabad: A group of 22 students from the Faculty of Languages and Literature participated in a three-day academic tour to the Forum for Language Initiatives in Islamabad and the Gandhara Resource Center in Taxila. Led by Prof. Dr. Tahir Saleem, and accompanied by faculty members Mr. Nohaiz Mehmood and Ms. Fatima Urooj, the delegation focused on the study of endangered languages and cultural artifacts.
According to University of Central Punjab, the tour was designed to provide students with practical exposure to research on sociolinguistic data and Gandharan artifacts, as well as traditional arts. The visit aimed to enrich students' academic experiences by offering professional opportunities and fostering research collaborations, while also strengthening institutional partnerships.
