University of Sargodha and International University of Chabahar Forge Academic Partnership

Sargodha: The University of Sargodha in Pakistan and the International University of Chabahar in Iran have signed an Intent of Cooperation to enhance academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. The agreement, signed by the vice chancellors of both universities, aims to foster joint research, faculty and student mobility, and academic exchange.

The collaboration focuses on several academic areas, including Management and Business Administration, Engineering and Technology, Information Technology, Law and Social Sciences, Education, and Agriculture. The agreement specifically highlights the joint supervision of Master’s and PhD research, introducing a fast-track mechanism for student co-supervision and virtual thesis defenses.

The partnership also promotes joint research publications, conferences, seminars, workshops, and exchange programs for students and faculty. It includes plans for visiting scholars, short-term academic visits, executive education programs, and seasonal schools.

To ensure effective implementation, both universities will appoint program coordinators. At the signing ceremony, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, noted that this cooperation reflects a strong commitment to advancing international academic collaboration and knowledge exchange between the two nations.

Dr. Abbas emphasized that the partnership will create opportunities for faculty and student development, drive research innovation, and strengthen academic ties at regional and global levels.
