Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, took part in the Khawaja Khurshid Anwar Music Competition 2025, a significant inter-university event held on December 13-14, organized under the Lahore Intervarsity League. The event brought together students from various universities in Lahore, fostering artistic expression and collaboration.
UET Lahore was represented by students from different engineering and technology disciplines in multiple musical categories, reflecting the university’s commitment to cultural and academic excellence. Participants showcased their skills in Folk Singing, Ghazal Singing, Solo Male Singing, and Instrumental performances.
In the Folk Singing category, Shahzaib, a Civil Engineering student, represented UET Lahore. Baksh Elahi from Computer Sciences competed in Ghazal Singing, while Abdul Saboor, from Business and Information Technology, took part in Solo Male Singing. Syed Ali Younus from Polymer and Process Engineering presented an Instrumental performance with a wind instrument.
The performances were supported by student musicians from Electrical, Automotive, Architectural, and Polymer and Process Engineering disciplines, demonstrating strong teamwork and collaboration across different fields.
The competition offered UET Lahore students a platform to express creativity, celebrate classical and folk music traditions, and engage in inter-university competition. The event also contributed to enhancing students’ confidence, cultural awareness, and performance skills.
Through its participation, UET Lahore reaffirmed its dedication to holistic student development and cultural engagement in co-curricular activities at the inter-university level.
