President Zardari Congratulates Japan’s First Female Prime Minister on Historic Win

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended his heartfelt felicitations to Ms. Sanae Takaichi on her historic election as the first female Prime Minister of Japan.

The President remarked that Takaichi’s election represents a significant milestone in Japan’s political history, underscoring the nation’s democratic principles and its commitment to gender equality.

Reflecting on historical precedents, President Zardari highlighted that Japan’s milestone mirrors Pakistan’s own history, when Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto became the first female Prime Minister of the Muslim world nearly four decades ago.

He expressed his confidence that under Prime Minister Takaichi’s leadership, Japan will continue to secure progress and prosperity.
