Gaza Faces Dire Straits as Muntada Aid Distributes Vital Supplies

Gaza: Muntada Aid has launched an initiative to distribute essential supplies to thousands of people in Gaza, amidst challenging logistical and financial conditions. The organization announced it is providing clean drinking water to over 4,100 individuals and distributing freshly made bread to 1,500 people daily.

In addition to bread and water, Muntada Aid is serving 500 hot meals each day. However, the cost of delivering these basic necessities is significantly high, with a single meal priced at over £4. This contrasts starkly with the situation of Sudanese refugees in Chad, where a nutritious meal costs just under £0.50.

The procurement of food and raw materials for these distributions poses significant challenges, described by Muntada Aid as both dangerous and expensive. Despite these hurdles, the organization has successfully reached over 172,000 people in Gaza with food, water, and medical aid since October 2023.

Muntada Aid continues to urge the global community to support its ongoing efforts in Gaza through donations, emphasizing the critical need for aid in the region.
