PCB Awards Women’s Domestic Contracts to 65 Cricketers for 2025-26 Season

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced domestic contracts for 65 women cricketers for the 2025-26 season. The contracts, effective from July 2025 to June 2026, are divided into Gold and Silver categories, with 20 and 45 players awarded respectively.

This initiative includes 23 Under-19 and emerging players, aiming to recognize talent and potential from recent domestic performances. The Women’s National Selection Committee, consisting of former Test cricketer Asad Shafiq and former Pakistan Women’s International cricketer Batool Fatima, recommended the players.

The PCB has maintained its commitment to strengthening the player pool with these contracts being offered for the third consecutive year. Players not currently contracted can earn a spot through upcoming domestic events and regional academy performances.

Notable Gold contract recipients include Anam Amin and Ayesha Zafar, both from Lahore, and Yusra Amir from Karachi. Silver contracts feature players such as Aleena Masood from Khanewal and Noor-ul-Iman from Bahawalpur.

The PCB’s effort to provide consistent domestic contracts underscores its dedication to developing women’s cricket and ensuring a robust future for the sport in the country.
