Islamabad: Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali commenced an Independence Day tree planting campaign at the Botanical Garden and College of Earth and Environmental Sciences (CEES) on Wednesday.
Separate events were conducted at both locations.
Attendees included Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Registrar Dr Ahmad Islam, Dean of Geo Sciences Prof Dr Sajid Rashid Ahmed, Director of the Institute of Botany Prof Dr Shakil Ahmed, CEES Principal Prof Dr Irfan Sheikh, RO-II Dr Naseem Ahmed Yaseen, religious scholar Abdul Wahab Attari, along with faculty and staff.
Prof Dr Muhammad Ali encouraged educators to plant and nurture trees in their areas to contribute to a greener future.
