Lahore: Engineering graduates from the classes of 2024 and 2025 are being reminded to secure their Registered Engineer (RE) certificates to qualify for the Pakistan Engineering Council’s (PEC) Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Placement Program.
The GET Program is a six-month, PEC-funded initiative designed to place unemployed fresh engineers into roles within nation-building departments and leading industries. However, participation in the program is contingent upon obtaining the RE certification.
Graduates of 2024 must complete their RE registration by August 31, 2025, while 2025 graduates need to register through their universities by September 30, 2025. Only those with RE certification will be eligible for the placement program, underscoring the importance of meeting these deadlines.
The announcement was sourced from the University of Engineering and Technology, which highlights the essential nature of the certification for those seeking to benefit from the GET initiative.
