Lahore: Pakistan Shaheens, led by captain Muhammad Irfan Khan, are slated to embark on a journey to Darwin, Australia today to compete in the upcoming Top End T20 Series. The 11-team tournament, scheduled from August 14 to August 24, will commence with Pakistan Shaheens facing off against Bangladesh ‘A’ in the opening match.

In a recent update, two changes have been announced in the 15-member squad. Batter Haider Ali has been temporarily suspended by the Pakistan Cricket Board on disciplinary grounds and has been replaced by Mohammad Faiq. Additionally, fast bowler Mohammad Wasim Jnr has been included in the squad in place of left-arm fast bowler Salman Mirza.

The full roster for the Pakistan Shaheens includes Muhammad Irfan Khan as captain, with players Abdul Samad, Ahmed Daniyal, Faisal Akram, wicket-keepers Khawaja Mohammad Nafay and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori, along with Maaz Sadaqat, Mehran Mumtaz, Mohammad Faiq, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Mubasir Khan, Saad Masood, Shahid Aziz, Ubaid Shah, and Yasir Khan completing the team.

The team management comprises Ghulam Ali as head coach, Sami Ullah Niazi as bowling coach, Mansoor Amjad as fielding coach, Muhammad Ibrahim as analyst, and Muhammad Aleem serving as physio.

The Pakistan Shaheens’ fixtures in the series are as follows: they will play against Bangladesh ‘A’ on August 14 at TIO Stadium, followed by matches against Scorchers, Renegades, Kingsmen, Strikers, and Nepal, culminating in the semi-finals and final on August 24.
