Lahore: The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Central Punjab recently organized a session on the Faculty Industry Placement Program (FIPP). The program, spearheaded by Dr. Hammad Naveed, Pro-Rector of UCP, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Director of ORIC, gathered faculty members from various departments to enhance their understanding of FIPP’s goals and procedures.
The session focused on the critical role FIPP plays in fortifying connections between academia and industry. It emphasized the importance of applied research and curriculum relevance, outlining the numerous benefits the program offers to faculty, students, industry, and the university as a whole.
