Sahiwal: Quaid-e-Azam College of Engineering and Technology, Sahiwal, in affiliation with the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, marked a significant milestone with its inaugural convocation ceremony. Thirty-nine students from the Civil Engineering Department, Session 2021, received their degrees and honorary medals during the event.
The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Vice Chancellor of UET Lahore, who served as the chief guest. He conferred the degrees and medals on the graduating students. Dr. Munir congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments and voiced optimism about the contributions these young engineers will bring to the nation’s development.
The event was attended by several key figures, including Dr. Khalid Farooq, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, and Mr. Muhammad Asif, Registrar of UET Lahore. Other notable attendees included Mr. Zargham Nusrat, Controller of Examinations, and Dr. Naveed Ramzan, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical, Metallurgical, and Polymer Engineering.
Distinguished guests at the ceremony featured Dr. Javaid Akhtar, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sahiwal, and principals from notable colleges, including Dr. Mumtaz Ahmad of Government Graduate College, Sahiwal, and Mr. Muhammad Shehzad Rafiq of Government Imamia Associate College. The ceremony also saw the presence of industry leaders such as Engr. Nauman Baig, Chief Engineer at the Irrigation Department, Sahiwal, and Mr. Waseem Irshad, Business Head at JS Bank Lahore.
