Bangladesh to Host Pakistan for Three T20 Internationals in July

Dhaka: Bangladesh has announced a three-match T20 International series against Pakistan, scheduled to take place in Mirpur starting July 20. The series will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, marking the second face-off between the two teams in the shortest format this year.

The two sides recently concluded a series in Pakistan, where Bangladesh faced a series sweep. The upcoming matches in Mirpur provide the hosts with an opportunity to reverse their fortunes. Both teams are looking to fine-tune their preparations for next year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, with the series serving as a critical assessment of their strategies in sub-continental conditions.

The fixtures are part of a busy cricketing calendar for Bangladesh, who are currently engaged in an all-format tour of Sri Lanka. The tour includes two Test matches, three One Day Internationals, and three T20 Internationals. The Test series began with a draw in Galle, and the team is currently competing in the second Test in Colombo as part of the ICC World Test Championship cycle.

The scheduled matches against Pakistan are as follows: the first T20I on July 20, the second on July 22, and the third on July 24, all to be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
