KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss of lives and damage to property caused by torrential rains in various areas of Islamabad and Punjab.
In a statement from the Media Cell Bilawal House, Bhutto Zardari extended condolences to families in Punjab affected by rain-related incidents. He also expressed solidarity with those whose homes and properties were damaged by the severe weather.
Bhutto Zardari urged the Punjab government and relevant authorities to utilize all available resources for equitable and effective relief efforts in the affected regions. He called for a comprehensive strategy to compensate citizens for their losses due to the downpour. Additionally, he emphasized the need for the immediate restoration of electricity and the rapid drainage of water from low-lying areas.
The PPP chairman highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing challenges with unpredictable and extreme weather patterns, attributing these issues to climate change.
He directed PPP Punjab office-bearers and workers to actively participate in relief efforts, urging party members to contribute to the ongoing initiatives.
