Karachi: The Master Oil Inter Club Cricket Tournament, supported by Master Oil Lubricants and organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi, witnessed four more matches, with players showcasing outstanding performances in batting and bowling.
According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the first match at Young Fighter Ground saw Oriental Star Cricket Club overcoming Prince Imtiaz Cricket Club by 26 runs. Oriental Star set a formidable total of 237 runs, driven by Shahid Hussain’s 73 and Mohammad Tayyab’s unbeaten 43. Despite Sohail Khan’s brilliant century for Prince Imtiaz, the team was restricted to 211 runs, courtesy of Rizwan Altaf and Mohammad Tayyab’s effective bowling.
In another match at Abbasi Gymkhana, Jehanabad Cricket Club defeated Opera Cricket Club by 59 runs. Jehanabad’s Yasir Salim and Sher Az Hussain posted significant scores to set a target of 255, which proved too much for Opera, despite a fighting 63 by Bahadur Ali Lalani. Mohammad Jabbar’s aggressive five-wicket haul was pivotal in securing the victory.
The third match featured MZ Cricket Club’s win over Pak Star Kar Kit Club by 67 runs at Landhi Jam Kha Na Gra Wind. MZ Cricket Club’s total of 210, with contributions from Shahzad Khan and Muhammad Kamran, was defended successfully as Pak Star was bowled out for 143, with Naseeb Yusufzai taking three wickets.
Finally, the day concluded with Tapal Cricket Club edging out Korangi Selected Cricket Club by three wickets at Pakstar Ground. Korangi was bowled out for 155, setting up a modest chase for Tapal, who reached their target with contributions from Jabbar and Khan. Jabbar again shone with the ball, taking five wickets in the match.
