Islamabad: On Monday, President Asif Ali Zardari commemorated the death anniversary of Abdul Sattar Edhi, celebrating his vast contributions to humanitarian efforts in Pakistan. Edhi, who passed away on July 8, 2016, founded the Edhi Foundation, a cornerstone of Pakistan’s social services.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari praised Edhi’s unparalleled commitment to helping the underprivileged without regard to race, faith, or social status. He highlighted Edhi’s establishment of a comprehensive network of social services including hospitals, orphanages, and shelters across the country. The President also offered prayers for Edhi, asking for eternal peace and an elevated status in paradise for Pakistan’s revered humanitarian.
