Jamshoro: The 95th anniversary of Mirza Qalich Beg, a prominent figure in Sindhi literature, was commemorated by the Shamsul Ulama Mirza Qalich Baig Chair of Jamia Sindh Jamshoro. The event saw various writers, intellectuals, and poets gather at Syed Buland Shah Cemetery to honor Beg’s legacy by laying floral wreaths and reciting Fatiha at his tomb.

According to University of Sindh, The gathering was attended by notable personalities including Taj Joyo, Naseer Mirza, and Dr. Nawab Kaka. Dr. Kaka, The Director of the Mirza Qalich Beg Chair, expressed gratitude to the attendees and highlighted Beg’s contributions to the Sindhi language and cultural heritage, noting his extensive works in history, humor, fiction, and linguistics.

Taj Joyo, a renowned writer, emphasized Beg’s role in the life of Sain GM Syed, acknowledging the deep personal and professional bonds between the two. Naseer Mirza, a prominent broadcaster, praised Beg’s versatile literary output that spanned various subjects. The day concluded with a ceremony at the Sindh University Teachers Club, where scholars discussed Beg’s artistic and scholarly contributions to Sindhi culture.
