Sehar Kamran Praises Labor Community’s Role in Pakistan’s Development

Islamabad: On International Labour Day, Sehar Kamran, a Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, acknowledged the efforts and contributions of the labor community towards the country’s development and economic progress. According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Kamran emphasized the need for stronger measures against child labor, better recognition for women workers, and increased support for laborers facing modern challenges.

She described laborers as essential to the nation, advocating for equality between blue-collar and white-collar workers. Kamran stated that laborers play a critical role in building cities, cultivating fields, and sustaining lives, while facing issues such as inflation, climate change, and water scarcity. She called for fair wages, social security, health incentives, and policies ensuring dignified lives for workers.

Kamran urged the state, institutions, and society to support the labor class without discrimination, ensure workplace safety, eliminate child labor, and empower women in the workforce to secure a brighter future for Pakistan.
