Turbat: The University of Turbat’s Department of Natural and Basic Sciences convened its 5th Board of Studies meeting on October 27, 2025, with the objective of updating and modernizing its academic programs. The meeting was chaired by Jahangir Khan Achakzai and included the participation of experts and faculty members.

Attending the meeting via video link were Prof. Dr. Ashif Sajjad from the University of Balochistan and Prof. Dr. Abdul Hameed Baloch from LUAWMS, Uthal. The meeting also saw participation from Dr. Naeemullah, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Engineering, and IT, along with other faculty members and educational leaders from local institutions.

The Board reviewed and approved several academic agenda items during the session. These included curricula for the AD, BS, and MS programs in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and Botany, as well as the PhD program in Biochemistry.

Dr. Jahangir Khan Achakzai, in his concluding remarks, thanked the board members for their contributions. He emphasized the university’s commitment to equipping students with digital skills and artificial intelligence proficiency under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan. The university is also focused on aligning its programs with market demands and latest educational frameworks set by the Higher Education Commission.
