Punjab University Confers Ten PhD Degrees Across Diverse Fields

LAHORE: Punjab University has awarded PhD degrees to ten scholars in various academic disciplines. The announcement was made on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, highlighting the university’s commitment to advancing higher education and research.

The recipients of the PhD degrees include Saliha Anwar, who earned her degree in Total Quality Management, and Asad Ali, who completed his doctorate in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. Rafia Tabassum was awarded a PhD in Zoology, while Rida Khalid achieved hers in Chemistry.

Moreover, Um-e-Laila received her PhD in Botany, and Shafia Siddiqui was awarded a degree in Home Economics, specializing in Textile and Clothing. In the field of Public Health, Zahara Ali Rizvi successfully completed her PhD.

The list also includes Saba Ameen, who earned a PhD in Chemistry, Mishal Idrees in Solid State Physics, and Taiba Tariq in Environmental Sciences.

The degrees were conferred as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to foster academic excellence and contribute to the global research community.
