Karachi: The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) has launched a strategic training initiative aimed at bolstering the invigilation protocols for the Sindh Police. Organized in collaboration with the College of Business Management (CBM) and the Centre for Research and Training (CCRT), the program focused on enhancing examination security across six districts.
Led by Dr. Sarah Wali Qazi, Acting Associate Dean at CBM, and Co-Trainer Mr. Muhammad Kamran, the one-day “Training of Trainers (ToT) on Invigilation” was held on August 12, 2025. The initiative aimed to elevate the skills and knowledge of over 50 police personnel, ensuring high standards of invigilation.
The training covered key areas such as exam security, crisis management, and trainer competency. The program was organized by the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), Training Directorate, and was well-received by police leadership, who commended IoBM for its professional approach.
This collaboration aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 16 on peace and justice, SDG 17 on partnerships, SDG 4 on quality education, and SDG 8 on decent work. By improving exam integrity, the initiative fosters trust in public institutions and promotes fair opportunities.
The partnership underscores IoBM’s commitment to academic outreach and national capacity-building, supporting its accreditation objectives and societal impact. This engagement sets the foundation for a continuous academia-police partnership, aimed at advancing management practices in the region.
