IIUI Panel Discussion Focuses on Climate Resilience Strategies

Islamabad: An informative panel discussion on climate resilience took place at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), drawing students from various academic levels in Environmental Science and other fields. The gathering served as a forum for exchanging views on community-based adaptation and resilience within Pakistan’s context, with discussions also pinpointing technical and data deficiencies that impede the formation of data-driven climate policies.

Participants, including students, engaged actively, offering their perspectives and posing questions regarding climate vulnerability and readiness. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Syeda Maria Ali, Chairperson of the Department of Environmental Science, Dr. Sarah Amir, In-charge of Academic Affairs, and Dr. Inam-ul-Haq, GYM Focal Person & Director of Administration, whose involvement lent academic and institutional support to the dialogue.
