KARACHI: In a significant academic milestone, the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi awarded degrees to 1,046 graduates during its Convocation for the Class of 2025 held at the Main Campus. The ceremony celebrated graduates from various programs, including the inaugural cohorts of the MS Data Science and MS Marketing programs.
The graduates included 780 individuals from undergraduate programs, 259 from postgraduate programs, and seven PhD recipients. The event was graced by the Honorable Minister for Universities and Boards, Sindh, Mr. Muhammad Ismail Rahoo, as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib, Founder of the Akhuwat Foundation, attended as the Guest of Honor.
Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, the Executive Director of IBA, commended the students for their commitment and hard work, noting the diversity and unity within the IBA community. “IBA is building value in outstanding students who join our institution,” Dr. Zaidi remarked, emphasizing the institute’s role in providing top-notch education to Pakistan’s brightest minds.
Guest of Honor Dr. Amjad Saqib lauded IBA for nurturing exceptional talent, highlighting the day as a celebration of the graduates’ achievements and the beginning of a promising future.
Minister Rahoo expressed his admiration for IBA’s longstanding reputation for academic excellence and innovation. He noted that IBA’s AACSB accreditation positions it among the top 6% of business schools globally, underscoring its role in shaping future leaders.
The convocation also recognized outstanding students across various programs with medals, shields, and merit certificates. Notably, Muhammad Ahmad, a BS Account & Finance student from the Class of 2024, received the ‘Excellence in Sports’ Award for his achievements in archery and shooting.
