Department of Zoology Unites Faculty and Students for Mehfil-e-Milad at UoS

Sargodha: The Department of Zoology at the University of Sargodha recently hosted a Mehfil-e-Milad-e-Mustafa, drawing a substantial gathering of faculty members and students. The event was marked by a spirit of reverence and devotion, as participants celebrated the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet.

The gathering commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, setting a solemn tone for the proceedings. A Naat competition followed, where students expressed their admiration for the Holy Prophet through heartfelt performances. Special prizes were awarded to standout participants, recognizing their dedication and talent.

Dr. Muhammad Anas, from the Department of Arabic, addressed the attendees, highlighting the Holy Prophet’s life as a guiding light for humanity. He emphasized the values of justice, equality, compassion, and service to mankind, which the Prophet exemplified. Dr. Anas encouraged the youth to align their lives with these teachings to succeed both in this world and the Hereafter.

He also stressed the importance of education as a tool for character building and societal improvement, urging students to focus beyond obtaining degrees. Other speakers echoed these sentiments, referring to the Seerat-e-Tayyaba as a comprehensive guide for life.

The event concluded with a special prayer, seeking peace, prosperity, and unity for the Muslim Ummah.
