Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Calls for Concrete Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities

Karachi: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called for a shift from sympathy to tangible inclusion for persons with disabilities, in a message marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

In a press release from the Media Cell Bilawal House, Bhutto Zardari emphasized the importance of dignity, opportunity, and participation as fundamental rights. He noted that persons with disabilities contribute strength and resilience, and stressed the nation’s progress relies on removing barriers to their education, employment, and participation.

Bhutto Zardari reaffirmed the PPP’s dedication to creating an inclusive Pakistan. He outlined a vision for the country where public spaces, schools, workplaces, and essential services are accessible, assistive technologies and healthcare are prioritized, and laws protecting equal rights are fully implemented. He also underscored the need for inclusion in decision-making processes.

“Inclusion is not charity; it is justice,” Bhutto Zardari stated, advocating for a Pakistan where no one is excluded, thereby fostering a stronger and more humane society.
